This site answers one question with published numbers: how much electricity and water a message to an AI model costs, and how far apart the published answers are.

It exists because the two most-quoted figures differ by a factor of a thousand, and almost every article quoting them omits the reason. The reason is a boundary, not a mistake.

Nothing here is sponsored by a model vendor. Where a link leaves this site it is marked as an external source, not an endorsement.

Corrections are welcome and are applied to the method page first, so the change is visible in the same place as the number it affects.
